Home Business Work – Why a Community College?

Home Business Work – Try out a Community College

Why a Community College?

You may be like me—went to college 4 years and learned all aspects about a subject, but when it came time for a job lay-off and job difficulties, what did I have to fall back on? Don’t get me wrong—I could show you how to setup a business, but when it came down to actually working a trade or skill—no such luck in that area. Your local community college has a variety of classes in which you can choose; from being an aerobics instructor to learning electronics. And even if you don’t want to learn a trade to go towards home business work, if you don’t know much about basic computer skills—a class at a community college will get you off to a good start. I’m going to list some major benefits of a community college:

· Cost – The cost is unbelievable compared to an actual university. Even if you want to obtain a degree, you can attend a community college for just a fourth of the cost.
· Skill Development – Of course this is why I started this series. You can either experiment with different classes or you can develop what you already know through advance training. Most certifications and/or programs can be completed within 1 to 2 years. However, classes that are not included in a program can last approximately from 1 day to 3 months (depending upon the class).
· Flexibility – Most people attending a community college are from various backgrounds and age groups. You have people who work and have families that attend. A community college schedule can definitely fit your needs through online work and/or flexible schedules.

Learn a Trade (Series)

I’m going to be setting up some useful information in regards to different trades that are available for you to learn (if this is the route you choose to take) and your options in turning that skill into legitimate home business work. Feel free to make comments and/or make suggestions—especially if you already are working in a field I will be mentioning. Good luck to you!
